In the last few weeks, I’ve received several questions about the billboards.

The main question is about how I could possibly afford them if I am, in fact, not funded by people who might also fund some of the most problematic regional councillors we currently have and some of the candidates who have been tapped to try to take the place of those councillors who won’t be re-elected.

You’re up, St. George’s Ward (Ward 3).

Today, there’s an advance polling station in your area for the municipal election that takes place on Monday, October 22, 2018.

Already decided who you’re voting for? Want to cross it off your to-do list early? Going away later in the month and won’t be here to vote? Want to beat the lines?

You can vote today (Saturday, October 13) between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatic Centre, 425 Carlton Street.

If you don’t live in St. George’s Ward and want to vote, you can! All of the advance polling stations are set-up for anyone in St. Catharines to vote, regardless of the ward in which they live. The Clerk and elections staff are all set with ballots for each of the six wards.

So, get out there, and have your voice heard!

Last night, the Committee for an Informed St. Catharines, hosted an event for all of the St. Catharines candidates running for Regional Council. To my recollection, it’s the first event of its kind, as there are typically so many regional council candidates that they are not given this opportunity.
